Description du poste

We are looking for an experienced and highly driven HR Director / Head of Human Resources to lead and develop the HR function of our international company.

Our team operates across multiple countries and time zones, with employees and contractors based in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. We are looking for a hands‑on HR leader who understands how to build effective HR systems for international and remote teams — from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, policies, employee development, and compliance.

This is a leadership role for someone who can combine strategic HR management with strong execution and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall HR strategy and day‑to‑day HR operations across the company.
  • Manage and supervise the HR and recruitment team.
  • Build, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, procedures, and internal standards.
  • Manage international recruitment for positions across Europe, Latin America, the United States, and other markets.
  • Develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies for remote and international candidates.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors have complete and accurate HR profiles, contracts, documentation, job descriptions, compensation information, and employment records.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, probation, performance reviews, promotions, compensation changes, vacations, leave, disciplinary procedures, and offboarding.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding and training programs for new employees.
  • Implement and supervise performance management systems, KPIs, employee evaluations, and development plans.
  • Work closely with department managers to identify hiring needs, team performance issues, organizational challenges, and development opportunities.
  • Develop clear organizational structures, job descriptions, responsibilities, reporting lines, and career paths.
  • Create and implement company HR policies, including remote‑work policies, vacation and leave policies, working hours, performance standards, confidentiality, disciplinary procedures, and internal communication standards.
  • Ensure proper HR documentation and compliance for employees, contractors, and independent professionals in different jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, NDAs, non‑compete/non‑solicitation agreements, and other HR documentation together with legal and management teams.
  • Manage compensation benchmarking, salary reviews, bonuses, incentives, and employee benefits.
  • Monitor employee engagement, retention, productivity, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Identify underperformance, organizational risks, and HR‑related issues and propose clear corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate HR reporting and provide management with regular reports on recruitment, headcount, turnover, performance, compensation, and other key HR metrics.
  • Select, implement, and manage HR technology and systems such as ATS, HRIS, performance management, training, and employee documentation platforms.
  • Build a strong, professional, accountable, and performance‑oriented company culture.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, including experience in a senior HR leadership, HR Manager, Head of HR, or HR Director role.
  • Proven experience managing remote and international teams.
  • Strong experience hiring employees and contractors internationally, particularly in Europe, Latin America, and/or the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, HR policies, and employee development.
  • Experience managing an HR and/or recruitment team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build HR processes and systems from the ground up.
  • Experience working with international employment structures, independent contractors, and remote employees.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate HR documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to hold employees and managers accountable.
  • Data‑driven approach to HR management and decision‑making.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and operate effectively in a fast‑moving international environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
  • Spanish will be considered a strong advantage.
Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

  • International companies operating across several jurisdictions.
  • Fast‑growing companies or organizations undergoing rapid expansion.
  • Remote‑first or distributed organizations.
  • Sales‑driven organizations.
  • Recruitment of sales, operations, finance, customer service, logistics, IT, and management positions.
  • HR platforms such as Workable or similar ATS/HRIS systems.
  • Building KPI‑based performance management and employee evaluation systems.
  • Managing both employees and independent contractors across different countries.
What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for someone who only manages HR administration.

We are looking for a proactive HR leader who takes ownership of the entire HR function, identifies problems before they escalate, builds structured processes, maintains high standards, and helps management create a strong and efficient international team.

The ideal candidate is organized, demanding when necessary, people‑oriented but performance‑focused, and comfortable working directly with senior management.

What We Offer
  • A senior leadership position in an international and growing company.
  • Direct involvement in building and shaping the company’s global HR strategy.
  • Opportunity to manage HR operations across Europe, Latin America, the United States, and other international markets.
  • High level of responsibility and autonomy.
  • Direct communication with company leadership.
  • Long‑term professional growth based on performance and results.
