Job summary

Avinahc in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR strategy, compliance, benefits, and employee relations across the organization. You will develop policies, oversee recruitment, payroll, and training, and partner with leadership to drive performance and engagement.

The role requires strong communication, data-driven decision making, and proficiency with HRIS, Office suite, and benefits administration.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of health care, preferred.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills (Office, Excel, Power Point).
• Above average human relations, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Able to work under time pressures and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages all aspects of recruiting efforts to fill vacant positions by sourcing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews and providing the appropriate follow-up with candidates in a timely manner.
• Welcomes new employees to the organization with orientation and a strong focus on retention.
• Delivers training to management on HR topics such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and harassment.
• Maintains a friendly and professional image internally and externally.
• Assists with administering benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401K, vacation, sick leave and leave of absence.
• Audits data accuracy in the HRIS system and maintains records.
• Provides data and reports from HRIS to satisfy reporting requirements and support projects.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Organizes employee personnel files and related information.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency in department operations.
• Assists in training management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and harassment.
• Assists with environmental, health and safety compliance, including workers' compensation management.
