Navy Exchange Service Command in the Tidewater District (Little Creek) seeks a Human Resources Representative to provide administrative support across recruiting, personnel actions, training, orientation, and exit interviews while assisting with performance appraisals.

Duties include posting vacancy announcements, screening applications, processing new hires, coordinating orientation, conducting wage surveys, and maintaining personnel records.

Qualifications

• 1 year general office clerical experience.
• 1 year specialized experience which required applying rules, regulations and program requirements in personnel disciplines.
• Substitution of education for experience guidance: college/university study may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in recruiting applicants for nonexempt/exempt positions.
• Reviews requisitions, prepares vacancy announcements and ads, screens applications, and determines eligible employees.
• Prepares and processes personnel actions (new hire, pay, promotion, transfer, etc.) in the automated personnel system.
• Conducts orientation sessions for new associates and exit interviews for separated associates.
• Administers annual performance appraisals and prepares reports.
