Job summary

SSP America is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support our restaurant operations team at JFK Airport. In this role, you’ll manage onboarding, employee records, compliance, and day-to-day HR administration in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

This position requires at least one year of HR experience. You’ll partner with managers to staff shifts, track training, and handle leave and attendance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Human Resources experience required.
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations principles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the full-cycle onboarding process, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and employment verification.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Coordinate and track training, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with leave administration, attendance tracking, and employee status changes.
• Partner with operational leaders to support staffing, retention, and employee relations efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company employment policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects as needed.
