The Global Edge Consultants is seeking an HR Coordinator (Shared Services) to support onboarding, employee inquiries, and essential HR administration in Houston. The role focuses on process efficiency, accurate record-keeping, and responsive service delivery to employees and stakeholders.
You will manage end-to-end onboarding, assist with offboarding, and contribute to compliance, reporting, and knowledge management efforts within a shared services context.
Role: Human Resources Coordinator (Shared Services)
Primary Purpose Acts as a core operational resource for HR service delivery by coordinating recruiting support, managing onboarding workflows, and executing essential administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage end-to-end new hire onboarding, including tracking pre-employment contingencies, sending welcome communications, building personnel files, and facilitating new hire orientation.
Employee Inquiry Resolution: Resolve moderate to complex HR inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and procedures with accurate, timely guidance.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure service center workflows comply with relevant policies and regulatory standards; partner with stakeholders to execute regular HR reporting and compliance audits.
Reporting & Analytics: Generate recurring reports, ad-hoc summaries, and dashboards for HR leadership.
Operational Alignment: Collaborate with HR leadership to align daily shared services activities with organizational priorities and process improvements.
Knowledge Management: Serve as a subject-matter resource for HR operations, assisting in refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge-base documentation.
Other Duties: Execute additional HR and administrative projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or HR shared services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to convey complex HR concepts clearly.
Critical Thinking: Ability to triage ambiguous inquiries, perform initial root-cause analyses, and route escalations appropriately.
HR Domain Knowledge: Understanding of core and extended HR policies, including leaves of absence, complex benefit triggers, and HRIS data dependencies.
Process Improvement: Experience identifying operational bottlenecks, updating documentation, and adapting to system or policy change-management initiatives.
