The Global Edge Consultants is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR Shared Services in a contract-to-hire capacity. Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a vital point of contact within HR Shared Services, driving high-impact HR service delivery across the organization. This role is responsible for executing seamless onboarding and recruitment administration, resolving employee inquiries across payroll, benefits, and policy, and supporting data reporting to drive continuous operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Talent Administration: Facilitate end-to-end new hire onboarding, manage pre-employment contingencies and background checks, prepare new hire communications, maintain electronic personnel files, and co-facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO).
HR Service Delivery & Employee Support: Act as a first-line subject-matter resource to triage and resolve moderate-to-complex inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, leave administration, and company policies, escalating nuanced issues when appropriate.
Reporting & Audits: Partner with HR stakeholders to execute weekly, monthly, and annual compliance audits; generate recurring dashboards and custom ad-hoc reports for HR leadership.
Process & Knowledge Management: Maintain and optimize HR knowledge-base articles, FAQs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); perform root-cause analysis on recurring inquiries to identify training opportunities or workflow improvements.
Operational Alignment & Compliance: Ensure all Shared Services activities adhere to corporate policies, multi-system dependencies, and applicable federal/state/local labor laws.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Assist HR business partners, leaders, and centers of excellence (COEs) with administrative project support and special initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in HR Shared Services, HR coordination, or general HR operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex HR information clearly across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to analyze ambiguous inquiries, identify root causes, and determine correct escalation paths.
Working knowledge of extended HR policy areas, including disability leaves, complex benefits triggers, and statutory compliance.
Familiarity with change-management principles when implementing HR systems, workflows, or policy updates.
Experience creating, updating, and standardizing HR documentation, SOPs, and employee-facing knowledge content.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP, Workday, or ServiceNow HR Service Delivery) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
