New York Life Insurance Co. is seeking an HR Communications Associate to join Corporate Communications. This junior role focuses on writing, editing, proofreading, and strategic communications across HR and enterprise leadership.

You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, engaging messages and use AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency. You’ll support content creation, schedule management, and analytics while collaborating with design, editorial, and digital workplace

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional communications experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; clear, concise and correct.
• Exceptional proofreading and copy-editing with strong grammar, punctuation and style adherence (AP style or equivalent).
• Attention to detail; accuracy in high-visibility, executive-facing work.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Collaborative across functions and levels, including senior leaders and external vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Canva familiarity a plus.
• Fluency with AI tools for drafting, editing, summarizing, research and analysis; apply good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit strategic communications plans; prepare presentations and maintain deliverables calendar.
• Proofread and quality-check team outputs across emails, intranet articles, presentations and talking points.
• Manage content scheduling and distribution; coordinate homepage calls to action on intranet.
• Collaborate with Benefits team and external vendors on targeted communications.
• Develop and revise visual assets for emails and digital signage; Canva familiarity helps.
• Gather and interpret metrics; analyze usage statistics and employee feedback.
• Apply AI tools responsibly across the workflow; ensure accuracy and authentic voice.
• Assist in preparing quarterly executive and non-executive promotions communications.
• Work with Corporate Communications teams and other internal partners.
• Contribute to special projects and duties as assigned.
