Job summary

Cooper Farms in St. Henry, OH is seeking an HR Business Partner to support all Human Resource functions within assigned departments.

You will build strong relationships with production managers and team members to ensure staffing, onboarding and employee relations align with company goals. Key duties include coordinating with the Corporate Recruitment team, conducting interviews, facilitating new hire orientation, addressing attendance and discipline, and educating employees on health insurance,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in Human Resources preferred.
• Strong judgement, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws and Cooper Farms policies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with production managers and team members.
• Collaborate with HR Manager on staffing needs and staffing records.
• Coordinate with Corporate Recruitment on open positions and recruitment efforts.
• Handle entry-level and skilled position hiring process (interviews, offers, onboarding).
• Facilitate new hire orientation.
• Focus on retention and suggest process improvements with production teams.
• Address work-related concerns and escalate as needed.
• Address absenteeism concerns and apply progressive discipline.
• Educate team on health insurance and disability programs; manage changes.
• Maintain department team members' files.
• Handle assigned specialized HR functions.
