Job summary

adidas in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with the DC Operations team, drive people programs, coach leaders, and manage onboarding for new hires. The role supports employee relations, performance management, and policy adherence while collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HR peers.

Hybrid work policy requires in-office presence Monday-Thursday with optional Friday remote work. Experience in distribution/manufacturing HR is preferred, and SAP proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with emphasis in human resource management or psychology preferred.
• 2+ years' generalist HR and recruitment experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.

Responsibilities

• Establish HR as a trusted business partner and ensure HR initiatives, programs, and policies are fully understood and implemented thoughtfully within the Operations team.
• Coach leaders on talent management and how to best motivate and challenge all members of their teams, (from high performers to under performers) to ensure employee performance, engagement, and accountability.
• Provide an ear and be a coach to employees to help them navigate job issues, career development and answer general questions regarding HR programs and policies.
• Participate as team member on multi-disciplinary projects that utilize various parts of the onsite HR team to achieve the project's objectives.
• Partner with recruitment and hiring team to make sound hiring decisions, give guidance and expertise as needed.
• Lead the onboarding process for all new employees ensure their acclimation to the organization.
• Consult with Operations leaders on employee relations issues and provide guidance on the appropriateness of different actions.
• Work closely with HR Specialist to confirm SAP is up to date regarding employee personnel data and organizational structure changes.
• Assists with verbalizing corrective actions, incident reporting, terminations, and other various administrative tasks.
