Gensler’s New York office is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
  • 10+ years of HR experience across multiple functions.
  • Experience resolving employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to guide managers through performance management and documentation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; inspires trust.
  • Proficient in MS Office; adept with data analysis.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS.
  • Knowledge of employment law at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Experience in professional services, architecture, or engineering firms is a plus.
  • Base salary range estimated between $100,000 - $130,000 plus bonuses.

In this role, you will partner closely with Studio Leaders, Office Leaders, and Regional Leadership to help shape an exceptional team member experience. As part of a team of HR Business Partners, you will play a critical role in helping leaders navigate complex people matters, develop high-performing teams, and foster an inclusive, engaging workplace culture. You will balance strategic partnership with hands‑on support across the team member lifecycle, serving as a trusted resource to both leaders and team members.



What You Will Do


  • Partner with Studio & Office Leaders along with Regional HR leadership on all people-related matters, serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members.

  • Coach managers on performance management, employee development, workforce planning, and building high-performing teams.

  • Navigate employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, and complex employee issues with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Support the team member lifecycle through onboarding, engagement, mobility, and offboarding initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

  • Provide guidance on policies, benefits, compliance, and HR programs while helping leaders navigate people-related decisions.

  • Use workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and support strategic business decisions.

  • Partner with Talent Development to drive learning, succession planning, engagement, and professional growth initiatives.

  • Bring fresh ideas, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to continuously improving HR practices and the team member experience.



Your Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field

  • 10+ years of HR experience with exposure to multiple HR functions

  • Experience resolving employee relations issues with professionalism, confidentiality and care

  • Ability to guide managers through performance management and documentation processes

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills – someone who inspires trust and collaboration

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems, including reporting and data analysis

  • Solid understanding of employment law and compliance at federal, state, and local levels

  • Experience in professional services, architecture, or engineering firms is a plus

  • The base salary range will be estimated to be between $100,000 - $130,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
