Job summary

PVESC in Maine seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to support leaders across our growing network of hospitals. This role balances strategy with action, building strong relationships and delivering HR guidance across locations.

You will advise on employee relations, performance, workforce planning, onboarding, compliance, and team development to create an exceptional employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and HR compliance.
• Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing day-to-day execution with strategic partnership.
• Enjoys working across multiple locations and building connections with teams in different hospital settings.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred.

• Lead workplace investigations, leave administration, accommodations, and risk management initiatives.
• Manage key HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, pay and status changes, and compliance reporting.
• Analyze turnover, engagement, and workforce trends to develop actionable recommendations.
• Coach and develop managers to build strong teams and effective leadership practices.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and positive workplace culture initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor during organizational change and growth.

What We're Looking For

Salary & Schedule

• Full-time, 40 to 45 hours per week
• $85,000.00 to $105,000.00 salary based on experience and credentials
