Staples, Inc. is seeking an HR Business Consultant (HRBC) to serve as a trusted advisor to field leaders, store associates, and HR partners within the U.S. Retail organization.

Reporting to the Director of People Support, you will influence leaders, address associate relations issues, and drive people initiatives that impact thousands of Staples associates. The role focuses on performance management, policy interpretation, engagement, talent development, and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
• 4–6 years HR experience supporting multiple leadership levels.
• Experience coaching leaders on employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
• Experience with performance improvement initiatives and conflict resolution.
• Experience in a large corporate or matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, consulting, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Partner with store leadership to advise on employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Coach managers on performance improvement and team development.
• Investigate associate concerns and provide policy-aligned recommendations.
• Support performance management programs and tools to drive results.
• Advise on associate engagement strategies balancing business needs.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and field leadership on complex matters.
• Support talent development and succession planning initiatives.
• Assist with implementation of new HR programs and initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with leaders to drive HR solutions.
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement and escalate when needed.
