DoD 8570 IAT Level II and federal HR IT experience are required. Anticipated Award: Dec 2026; Start: Jan 2027; Salary Range: $135,000–$185,000; Active Secret clearance is required; contract award contingent.

• Five years of relevant experience in HR IT for federal systems.
• Experience with federal HR IT systems and DoD standards.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• One of the listed computing certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Formulate specifications for complex HR software applications and maintain them.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs; support OS maintenance.
• Evaluate software products and provide technical guidance.

Job Summary

B&A is seeking a HR Business Applications and Solutions Software Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Human Resources Management (HRM) Applications Information Technology (IT) Sustainment Support effort. This is an off-site position with periodic support for meetings at HQ DLA (Fort Belvoir, VA) or other locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Period of Performance: 1 Base Year + 2 Option Years

Salary Range: $135,000-$185,000

Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security requirements, and contract funding. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Formulate/define specifications for complex operating software programming applications; modify and maintain complex applications.

Design, code, test, debug, and document programs; perform operating system maintenance; support software systems programming; evaluate software products.

Education and Experience

At least five (5) years of relevant experience.

Experience with federal Human Resources IT systems.

Required Certifications

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification

One of the following Computing Environment certifications/credentials:

• CompTIA Linux+
• Red Hat System Administrator I (RH SA I)
• Oracle Certified Professional - Database (OCP DB)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (MC: Azure AA)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (MC: Azure SEA)

Security Clearance / Investigation

Active Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last five (5) years
