Job summary

Bart & Associates, Inc. is seeking an HR Business Applications and Solutions Database Administrator to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Human Resources Management IT Sustainment effort.

This off-site role requires periodic meetings at HQ DLA Fort Belvoir, VA, with an anticipated start in January 2027 and a salary range of $140,000–$190,000. The position demands 5+ years of database experience, federal HR IT familiarity, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience with database query languages (Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, MS Access).
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems and additional programming languages.
  • Experience on at least two projects in a large organization administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale database.
  • 2+ years of experience with federal HR IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer computerized databases; project long-range database administration/design requirements; design, create, and maintain client/server databases.
  • Conduct database quality control/auditing; advise users on access; maintain complex databases, database dictionaries, standards/procedures, file design/storage, and systems integration.

Job Summary

B&A is seeking a HR Business Applications and Solutions Database Administrator to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Human Resources Management (HRM) Applications Information Technology (IT) Sustainment Support effort. This is an off-site position with periodic support for meetings at HQ DLA (Fort Belvoir, VA) or other locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.   • Salary Range: $140,000–$190,000
  • Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security requirements, and contract funding. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Note: Personnel shall be available to periodically support meetings at HQ DLA (Fort Belvoir, VA) or other places of performance in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
  • Administer computerized databases; project long-range database administration/design requirements; design, create, and maintain client/server databases.
  • Conduct database quality control/auditing; advise users on access; maintain complex databases, database dictionaries, standards/procedures, file design/storage, and systems integration.
  • Perform database programming and support systems design, performance, security, backup, and tuning activities.
Education and Experience
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
  • At least three (3) years of hands‑on experience with Relational Database Management Systems.
  • Experience with various operating systems and additional programming languages.
  • Experience on at least two projects in a large organization administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with federal Human Resources IT systems.
Required Certifications

One applicable Computing Environment certification/credential from the following:

  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional – Database Administrator (MCITP DBA)
  • Microsoft Certified Master – SQL Server (MCM: SQL Server)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate – Windows Server (MCSA: WS)
  • Oracle Certified Professional – Database (OCP DB)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Master – Data Platform (MCSM: DP)
Security Clearance / Investigation

Active Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last five (5) years
