Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist in Mobile, AL. You will manage employee benefits, leaves, and retirement plans while serving as a trusted resource for teammates.

Responsibilities include administering medical/dental/vision/Life, handling FMLA and state leaves, overseeing 401(k) administration, and supporting TSOP. Ensure compliance and drive improvements in teammate experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of benefits administration experience.
• Experience with FMLA, disability claims, and retirement plans.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• CEBS, PHR, or SHRM certification preferred.

• Support stock ownership plan administration.
• Reconcile invoices and maintain accurate records.

• Identify process improvements to enhance teammate experience.

Help support the teammates who make Hargrove successful. Hargrove is seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist to manage employee benefits, leave programs, and retirement plans while serving as a trusted resource for our teammates.

What You'll Do

• Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans
• Manage FMLA, personal, state, and disability leaves from start to finish
• Oversee 401(k) administration, including contributions, loans, distributions, and vendor coordination
• Support Hargrove's Teammate Stock Ownership Plan (TSOP)
• Reconcile benefit invoices and maintain accurate records
• Assist with Open Enrollment, benefits communications, and teammate education
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and other applicable regulations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the teammate experience

What You Bring

• 5+ years of benefits administration experience
• Experience with leave management, disability claims, and retirement plans
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• CEBS, PHR, or SHRM certification preferred
