Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Business and Human Resources Analyst to provide technical and administrative support for employee benefits programs and HR systems. The role focuses on data accuracy, eligibility, and timely processing of enrollments and changes.

Responsibilities include coordinating COBRA, open enrollment, and communications while maintaining confidential records according to policy. Strong analytical skills and experience with HRIS/ERP systems are desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of benefits, leave, and workers' compensation administration.
• Understanding ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and data privacy.
• Strong data entry, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Experience with audits and internal controls is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and administrative support for employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.).
• Processes enrollments, changes, and terminations; maintains eligibility records and responds to questions.
• Reconciles carrier invoices, eligibility files, and payroll deduction reports; researches discrepancies.
• Coordinates COBRA administration and tracks deadlines; maintains documentation.
• Supports open enrollment, benefits fairs, and new-employee orientation; prepares materials.
