Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an HR Representative to provide confidential HR support across the organization. You will guide employees and leaders, manage recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding, and help ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

The position reports to the Manager of Human Resources and is located at Fort Martin or Harrison Power Station in West Virginia. A strong focus on data and reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and travel as needed is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline; in lieu of degree, minimum 2 years of relevant HR experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform HR-related responsibilities and analyze data to present findings.
• Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support for prospective, current and former employees and leadership.
• Recruiting, job postings, interviewing, onboarding, etc., including staffing projections.
• Advise leaders on employee relations and compliance with regulations and policies.
• Conduct HR reporting and data analysis to support business decisions.
• Facilitate HR meetings, training, and open enrollment activities.
• Collaborate with Safety, Compliance, and Legal departments as needed.
• Support outage/storm restoration HR needs and travel as required.
