University of Illinois Chicago seeks a Human Resources Associate 1 to provide professional HR support for the Student Affairs department. You will handle hires, onboarding, compliance, and act as HR liaison for department staff and administrators.

Role requires thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, prioritizing between multiple departments, and coordinating with SA Payroll and campus offices for timely processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR/related field.
• Two (2) years (24 months) of professional HR experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process hires for Student Affairs departments.
• Manage HR life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and performance reviews.
• Develop job descriptions and assist with search, recruitment, and selection for all classifications.
• Guide search committees on recruitment/interviewing resources and communications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related to the position.
