The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality in a healthcare setting. This salaried role reports to the Administrator and supports HR initiatives to meet facility goals.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in HR or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Employee Relations: be a point of contact for inquiries and help resolve issues.
  • Benefits Administration: assist with health, retirement plans, and leave questions.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: ensure labor law compliance and maintain confidential records.
  • Training and Development: support training initiatives and track certifications.
  • General HR Support: maintain databases and generate HR reports.

Job Summary

The HR Associate will play a key role in supporting the human resources functions of our skilled nursing facility here at Lexington Premier Nursing & Rehab. This position involves assisting with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Office setting within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
    • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process. Maintain and update job descriptions and employee handbooks.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence.
    • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
    • Coordinate with benefits providers and manage open enrollment periods.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including timekeeping and attendance.
    • Assist with audits and reporting as needed.
  • Training and Development:
    • Support ongoing training and development initiatives for staff.
    • Track and manage training records and certifications.
  • General HR Support:
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
    • Maintain HR databases and prepare reports on HR metrics.
    • Collaborate with management to support facility goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment. Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems.
