Job summary

Tenet Healthcare Corporation's DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit seeks an HR Assistant to support HR operations, maintain employee records, assist in recruitment, and provide courteous, customer-focused service to staff.

Under supervision, you will assist with data entry, memo drafting, scheduling, and various HR tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is a full-time, dayshift role with benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year clerical or administrative experience, preferably in HR.
• Proficient in using PC software and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in HR processes under supervision and maintain employee files.
• Support recruitment activities and prepare standard memos and forms.
• Input data, organize filing systems, and schedule appointments.
• Provide on-site HR support and assist in responses to department visitors.
• Process employment verifications and court records requests.
• Help develop and update HR policies and SOPs.
