Tenet Healthcare's DMC Harper University Hospital is seeking a Transporter to move patients and materials within the facility under general supervision. You will escort patients by stretcher, wheelchair, or bed for procedures, tests, admissions, or discharge, and handle accompanying documents as needed.

No previous related experience is required; on-the-job training of one to four weeks will be provided to learn policies and procedures.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs transporter duties which may include, but are not limited to escorting and/or transporting patients within the hospital. Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge and intra-hospital transfers. Delivers on request specimens, patient charts and various other patient related materials to specified department or other hospital area.
