Job summary

Queen City Hospice in Mason, OH seeks an Entry-Level HR Assistant to support employees and ensure patient care remains the priority. You’ll bring compassion, reliability, and a readiness to learn in a mission-driven environment.

This in-office role is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. You’ll manage onboarding, pre-hire steps, I-9/E-Verify, and maintain personnel files, while delivering excellent employee service to all colleagues.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of human resources administrative experience or equivalent education/certification.
  • Strong customer services skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Confirms pre-hire steps including forms, background checks, and drug screens.
  • Monitors Form I-9 and E-Verify submissions and supports branch management.
  • Maintains new hire checklists and personnel files, both hard copy and electronic.
  • Keeps employee files in compliance with laws and audit readiness.
  • Serves as liaison to corporate HR for new hires and current employees.
  • Provides answers to routine benefits questions accurately and timely.

Qualifications:
  • One to three years of human resources administrative experience or equivalent education/certification.

  • Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements.
What You’ll Do:
  • Manages all aspects of onboarding and orientation.
  • Confirms all pre-hire steps have been completed to include completion of pre-hire forms, background checks, and drug screens.
  • Monitors the completion of Form I-9 and E-Verify submission and supports branch management to ensure timely completion of all required documents.
  • Maintains new hire document checklists and assists with the assembly and maintenance of branch personnel files, both hard copy and electronic, to ensure files are complete with all required documents.
  • Maintain employee files in compliance with applicable laws and in preparation to ACHC regulatory audit reviews.
  • Serve as a liaison to corporate Human Resources for new hires and current employees.
  • Provides customer service by answering routine employee questions accurately and in a timely matter regarding benefits enrollment, changes, pay, etc.
