About This Role

The Human Resource Analyst position is responsible for managing a broad range of human resource and payroll activities for multiple departments and/or units within the College of Arts and Sciences. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact and HR resource for assigned departments, providing guidance and support to directors, department heads/chairs, managers, supervisors, faculty, staff, and student employees.

This position provides consultation and guidance on federal, state, and university human resource policies, procedures, and guidelines and supports departments in areas including recruitment and hiring, onboarding, payroll, employee appointments, time and leave Administration, Compensation, And Other HR-related Processes. The Human Resource Analyst works collaboratively with college leadership, departmental administrators, and central university offices to ensure HR and payroll activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable policies and requirements.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of
  • Relevant Experience. Requirements May Be Met Through a Combination of work experience and education.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and procedures of human resource management.
  • Knowledge of the federal laws applicable to a comprehensive human resource program as well as state laws, rules, and regulations applicable to human resource functions.
  • Knowledge of the K-State policies and procedures regarding human resource functions.
  • Ability to plan, analyzes details, develop, and formulate recommendations for implementation of human resource processes and functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to work independently and make sound independent decisions.
  • Ability to maintain total confidentiality in regards to human resources and salary information.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Experience in human resources for higher education.
  • Notary - must be eligible to obtain upon employment.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work i the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Anticipated Hiring Pay Range

$50,000- $58,000
