Job summary

Starr, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks an HR Operations Administrator to manage global HR transactions, maintain records, and support the Workday platform.

The ideal candidate has Workday experience, is highly organized, and can handle confidential information. You will collaborate with North America and Global Payroll teams, support year-end processes, and assist Starr’s relocation program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Administer HR processes: data entry, updates in Workday, onboarding, I-9, and job changes for US/international staff.
  • Oversee onboarding for US employees, ensure payroll deadlines, complete I-9 verification in Workday.
  • Process HR transactions such as rehires, terminations, transfers, and salary changes across regions.
  • Review HR transactions in Workday for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with NA and Global Payroll to support payroll processes.
  • Handle employment verifications and payroll inquiries.
  • Manage invoice processing and allocations.
  • Assist with Workday password resets.
  • Support Starr Relocation program, including relocation estimates.
  • Primary contact for new hires' Workday access issues.
  • Improve HR processes and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage employee records, ensuring current and secure storage.
  • Respond to requests for employee information, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Generate and analyze Workday reports; take necessary actions.
  • Assist with system upgrades, testing, and validation.
  • Participate in Year End/Year Start projects (W-2 prep).
  • Collaborate with HR team to deliver cohesive HR services.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects across departments.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Manage HR administration: mail, scanning, filing.

We are looking for an HR Operations Administrator to manage our global HR transactions and support the Global HR Operations department. This role involves maintaining HR records, processing HR transactions in Workday, and ensuring efficient HR operations. The candidate should be experienced managing Workday HR transactions, highly organized, and capable of handling confidential information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer HR processes, including data entry, updates in Workday, new hire validation, onboarding, I9 completion, and job changes for US and international employees.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for US employees, ensuring compliance with payroll deadlines. Complete I9 verification in Workday promptly.
  • Process HR transactions such as rehires, terminations, transfers, and salary changes across various regions.
  • Review HR transactions in Workday for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with North America and Global Payroll teams to support payroll processes.
  • Handle employment verifications and respond to payroll-related inquiries.

  • Generate and analyze Workday reports, taking necessary actions.
  • Assist with system upgrades, testing, and validation.

Qualifications
