Qualifications

• Associates degree required; additional years may substitute for education.
• 3+ years of HR experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Proficient with HR technology and MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience preparing reports, interpreting results, and gleaning insights from data.
• Discreet handling of confidential information.
• SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 HR support and advisory to managers and employees on absenteeism, performance concerns, and policy interpretation.
• Guide managers and employees regarding policies, benefits, pay, and HR programs; ensure consistent, timely handling.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA).
• Coordinate new employee orientation—rooms, materials, invites, attendance; schedule and facilitate.
• Manage FMLA process including accommodations and leave; coordinate with leave vendor.
• Handle workers' compensation, accommodations, and unemployment claims.
• Support documenting corrective actions and coaching first-time leaders.
• Assist HR Business Partners as a listening post to the employee experience.
• Participate in preboarding with I-9 appointments and E-verify entries.
• Stay informed on HR practices and policy changes; share knowledge with HR One Source team.
• Prepare reports and present findings to field leaders and HRBPs.
• Distribute weekly reports to managers on expiring licenses and certifications.
