Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking an HR Administrator, Compliance to safeguard employee records, onboarding processes, and HR systems for accuracy and compliance. You will help protect the integrity of people practices and support audit-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing audits of HR documentation, employee files, and systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Review onboarding, background checks, I-9 verification, employment documentation, employee records, and separation records.
  • Identify compliance gaps, risks, and inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain HR data integrity and support accurate internal and external audit reporting.
  • Track compliance logs, audit findings, corrective actions, and key compliance metrics.
  • Coordinate audit requests and documentation reviews across departments and teams.
  • Manage onboarding activities for at least one assigned product line.
  • Conduct required employment reference checks in accordance with onboarding procedures.
  • Maintain confidential information and follow applicable laws, organizational policies, and record-retention requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and leaders to strengthen compliance processes and reporting standards.
