Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is seeking an HR Administrator to provide essential administrative and operational support to the HR department.

The role handles onboarding and offboarding, maintains employee records, supports benefits administration, and coordinates HR programs while ensuring policy compliance and confidentiality. You will respond to employee inquiries, generate HR reports, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business or related field and 1 year HR experience in a related industry; OR High school diploma or GED with 3 years HR experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment within time constraints
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including data entry, scanning, answering general inquiries, etc.
  • Maintain personnel files, employee records, rosters, and HR documentation.
  • Creation and maintenance of department SOPs.
  • Support benefits enrollment and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain I-9 records and compliance documentation.
  • Generate HR reports, maintain HR intranet content, and support audits.
  • Process new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, and separations.
  • Support HR operations and programs across all employee levels.
  • Assist employees with general HR related inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Help coordinate employee events, communications, and recognition programs.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Always ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
  • Perform other HR, administrative, project based, and miscellaneous duties as assigned as business needs

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrator provides vital administrative and operational support to the HR department, contributing to the effective delivery of core human resources functions. This role is responsible for assisting with onboarding and offboarding activities, maintaining accurate employee records, supporting with benefits administration, coordinating HR programs, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and employment regulations. The HR Administrator also serves as a point of contact for general employee inquiries, helping to foster a well-organized, responsive, and confidential HR environment that supports both staff and organizational goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field and a minimum of one (1) year of human resources experience in a related industry; OR
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three (3) years human resources experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment within time constraints
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
  • Associate's degree
  • Working knowledge of HRIS software (e.g., BambooHR, Viewpoint Vista, etc.) and benefits platforms

WORK ENVIRONMENT

TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • Travel is primarily local, although minimal out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
  • May be requested to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
