You play a vital role in keeping our workplace organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. As an HR Admin Assistant, you support our team by managing daily office tasks, improving office efficiency, and helping new and current staff members feel supported. You serve as the first point of contact for routine employee questions and ensure our HR records stay accurate and up to date. Your daily work directly impacts team morale, organization, and our overall company success.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages daily administrative tasks to keep the HR department organized and efficient.
- Maintains accurate employee records and handles data entry tasks within our HRIS platform.
- Coordinates seamless onboarding experiences for new hires, including preparing paperwork and scheduling orientations.
- Supports the recruiting process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Processes routine payroll inputs and helps resolve basic employee relations questions with empathy and discretion.
- Handles calendar management for HR leaders, books meeting rooms, and prepares meeting materials.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office tools to create reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Assists with general Human Resources (HR) projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefers an associate degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Brings at least one year of experience in administrative assistance or a human resources support role.
- Demonstrates hands-on experience with data entry and record management.
Knowledge/Skills
- Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person.
- Maintains strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with an HRIS system.
- Familiarity with basic payroll processes and recruiting coordination.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Sits at a desk and works on a computer for extended periods.
- Lifts office supplies and files weighing up to 20 pounds, as needed.
