Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in human resources, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, HRIS, or workforce management.
  • Experience working directly with clients in a service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations processes, payroll regulations, benefits administration, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and tax reporting requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned clients, providing guidance and support across employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance, leave administration, policies, payroll, and workforce management.
  • Process payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support employees and managers with questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, onboarding, leave administration, and employment practices.
  • Administer employee benefits, open enrollment, and related system updates.
  • Support full-cycle employee lifecycle activities, including recruiting coordination, new hire onboarding, employee changes, performance support, separations, and offboarding documentation.
  • Support employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management processes.
  • Provide HR guidance to clients on employee handbook interpretation, workplace policies, documentation standards, disciplinary processes, and best practices for managing employee concerns.
  • Assist with HR compliance activities, including I-9 administration, E-Verify processes, required postings, personnel file maintenance, wage and hour considerations, and employment documentation.
  • Partner with clients to identify HR process improvements, recommend practical solutions, and support consistent application of policies and procedures across their workforce.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Support quarter-end and year-end activities, including payroll tax filings and employee reporting.
  • Coordinate leave administration, unemployment claims, workers' compensation, and other HR programs.
  • Manage employee records, documentation, reporting, and system maintenance within UKG Ready.
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve client concerns, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, guidance, and education.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support client and business needs.

In this role, you will support businesses by serving as a trusted HR and payroll resource, with a strong emphasis on core human resources functions including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, leave management, policy guidance, and employee lifecycle support. You will also manage payroll operations and leverage the UKG Ready platform and related technologies to deliver exceptional client service while helping organizations streamline their HR, payroll, and workforce management processes. This is an entry level, hybrid position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana

The ideal candidate is an organized HR professional with strong human resources knowledge, payroll understanding, sound judgment, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships while supporting a wide range of employee and employer needs.

This role requires flexibility and may include additional responsibilities necessary to support client success and business objectives
