Job summary

The Housing Quality Standard (HQS) Inspections Manager at SMOC is responsible for supervising the HQS Inspections department, including staff management and overseeing inspection procedures in line with HQS/EOHLC guidance. The role conducts inspections, provides training, and ensures workflow efficiency across units in Framingham, MA.

Key duties include managing a team of inspectors, coordinating inspections, and maintaining compliance with lead paint and LOC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years housing program experience and 1-2 years managing staff preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel, Windows, Word and PCs.
• Valid Mass. Driver’s License and insurance.
• Nan McKay HQS Certification required; additional HQS certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of HQS Inspectors and HQS Coordinator.
• Oversee HQS inspections of new and existing units and reinspections.
• Assist in development of streamlined program practices and forms.
• Monitor inspections via audits and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Conduct trainings for new staff and ongoing HQS/EOHLC training.
• Enter inspection data into the YARDI system as needed.
