Job summary

Michigan State University’s ICER team seeks a systems professional to design, develop, operate, and support Linux-based HPC systems on campus. You will help implement modern deployment and operations for researchers and internal needs, and coordinate with other units to provide innovative computational solutions.

You will manage complex projects serving the university and external partners, while engaging with national cyber infrastructure communities and maintaining on-call support.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in CS/IS or related IT field.
• Three to five years of IT experience in HPC or similar environments.
• Experience with Linux/Windows ecosystems and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, operation and support of Linux-based HPC systems.
• Design and support development/ops processes for researchers and ICER needs.
• Manage complex university-wide projects and collaborate with external partners.
• Engage with regional and national cyber infrastructure communities.
