Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a System Administrator to sustain and advance HPC infrastructure on a national security program. The role focuses on multi-vendor HPC servers, clusters, and specialized processing environments. Requires active TS/SCI with polygraph and U.S.

citizenship. You will configure Linux/Unix systems, troubleshoot IT environments, and provide Tier 1–2 support while coordinating with engineering teams to optimize performance and capacity.

Qualifications

• OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install.
• Understanding of HPC architecture and high-speed networks (InfiniBand, Slingshot).
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible.
• Proven troubleshooting skills across varied systems, no single fix for every problem.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; DoD 8570 IAT II level certs are preferred.
• Must have active TS/SCI with polygraph; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and advance Linux/Unix OS and related software; troubleshoot and optimize reliability and performance.
• Provide support for IT systems implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 escalation support and resolution.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers; assist in capacity planning.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, including capacity analysis and planning.
