Job summary

Vibrint in Lehi, Utah is seeking a System Administrator to support high-performance computing environments and multi-vendor HPC clusters. The role focuses on Linux/Unix administration, system optimization, and secure IT operations that power national security missions.

The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship. You will work with a skilled team, implement scripting, monitoring, and incident response, and contribute to mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, OS and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install.
• Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible.
• Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no one fix for a particular problem.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of demonstrable system administration experience or ten years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software; troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
• Provide escalation communications to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform capacity planning
