Job summary

Raytheon high-performance computing group in Tucson, AZ seeks a System Administrator/Analyst for HPC administration in Windows and Red Hat environments. You will help integrate hardware, software and OS components while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced DT setting.

This onsite role requires active DoD clearance or the ability to obtain it and meaningful CSI certs within six months; relocation support is available for eligible candidates. RTX offers strong project focus and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years of relevant IT/Digital Technology experience or a total of 4 years in IT.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required before start; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in Windows and/or Linux server environments, including directory services and hardening.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Develop and implement new technologies per industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot to resolve complex problems across HPC hardware, software and OS.
• Lead and support engineering with system-level troubleshooting and scripting.
• Perform OS tuning to maximize HPC performance and standardize DT processes.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to maintain security compliance.
• Provide documentation and training; mentor junior team members.
