Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) is seeking an HPC Storage Solutions Architect to design, integrate, and optimize high-performance storage for HPC, AI/ML, and data-intensive workloads. You will guide customers from requirements discovery through deployment, ensuring scalable, resilient storage systems and collaborating with product and vendor partners.

You will lead PoCs, performance benchmarks, and workflow optimizations, aligning file systems and protocols to workload needs and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing and deploying HPC storage architectures.
• Hands-on with parallel/distributed file systems (Lustre/GPFS/Ceph/VAST) and object storage.
• Experience with storage automation and infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Ability to explain complex storage designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end HPC storage architectures and workflows.
• Lead proof-of-concept and benchmarking to validate performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with compute, networking, and software teams to deliver integrated storage solutions.
• Engage with vendors to evaluate technologies and influence roadmaps.
• Represent the team in technical reviews and customer workshops.
