Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud seeks a Manager of HPC Solutions Architecture to lead a cross-functional team of domain architects across compute, storage, security, Kubernetes, networking, and systems integration. You will engage with customers through the full lifecycle—from discovery and design to proof-of-concepts, deployment, and optimization—driving measurable value and platform adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in HPC, Solutions Architecture, or large-scale systems design.
• 3+ years of technical team leadership across domains.
• Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary architecture or engineering teams within HPC, cloud, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong architectural expertise across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and security.
• Hands-on HPC tech including GPU acceleration (CUDA) and workload schedulers (Slurm, Kubernetes).
• Experience designing secure and compliant architectures with identity management and encryption.
• Proven customer-facing communication and requirement gathering, translating into scalable designs.
• Ability to articulate complex solutions to technical and executive audiences.
• Proven track record of driving solution adoption and measurable customer success.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Solutions Architects across compute, storage, Kubernetes, networking, security, and systems integration.
• Act as the strategic link between customers, your team, and engineering, ensuring alignment between outcomes and platform evolution.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers to maximize HPC value.
• Oversee creation of reference architectures and design blueprints for repeatable, scalable solutions.
• Guide proof-of-concept initiatives to validate performance and adoption.
• Conduct design reviews and workload assessments to improve efficiency and resilience.
• Recommend design choices across compute, storage, networking, data pipelines, and security.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to shape roadmaps and features.
• Encourage prototyping of new approaches for HPC/AI workloads.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and reusable patterns.
• Stay current with GPUs, accelerators, interconnects, and orchestration frameworks.
• Represent the organization at client workshops and industry events; travel as needed.
• Champion customer success and engineering excellence across the team.
