Job summary

Muon Space is hiring a Platform Engineer to own the shared technical foundation for the HPC team, delivering FPGA and GPU artifacts from commit to lab-ready state. The role is hybrid and requires on-site work in San Jose, CA three days per week.

You will own build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines, manage toolchains, and drive planning-and-delivery alignment across missions. Strong Jira/Confluence skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with FPGA or GPU workflows and toolchains.
• Experience building build systems, test environments, and pipelines for hardware-adjacent codebases.
• Ability to define shared components and reference flows to reduce one-off work.
• Fluency with Jira (epics/stories, dashboards) and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines for FPGA and GPU code.
• Own the toolchain environments (synthesis, simulation, cross‑compilation) and keep them updated.
• Manage variation across missions and promote shared components.
• Align planning methods with actual build and delivery processes and report progress.
