Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled HPC Linux System Administrator to join the JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role focuses on building and maintaining HPC environments, managing containers, and ensuring high availability of compute resources.

The ideal candidate has extensive Linux administration experience, HPC scheduling, and a track record in scalable system administration. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience with Linux system administration, system configuration management, and HPC workflows.
• Experience with container-based HPC workflows and complex CI/CD workflows.
• HPC job scheduler administration experience and strong problem solving, planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain all FSL services as part of the HPC team.
• Support High Performance Compute, high-end Linux workstations, and high-speed networking.
• Work with container technologies to optimize HPC environments.
• Monitor system health and assist users to ensure NASA missions run smoothly.
