Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a Spacesuit Technologist to join the JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role involves understanding and supporting the operation of spacesuit hardware and assisting engineers in various tests and calibrations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS diploma and 5 years of experience or BS in Engineering Technology.
• Experience with reviewing and following requirements documents.
• Experience with assembly, verification, testing, and operation of Space system hardware.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts in the space hardware field.
• Ability to support long training events with moderate lifting.

Responsibilities

• Understand the operation of OCSS hardware.
• Assist existing OCSS Suit Engineering Technologists.
• Support Testing of OCSS hardware including Orion Crew Survival Suit.
• Support buildup of Ground Service Equipment and periodic re-calibration.
• Work in a team environment and report to project management.
