Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking an HPC Linux System Administrator to join the JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will help build and maintain the FSL compute environment, supporting ISS, Orion, SLS, and other programs through Linux, HPC schedulers, and container-based workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in related work, strong problem solving and teamwork, and experience with large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in Linux system administration.
• Experience with container-based HPC workflows.
• Experience with HPC job scheduler administration.
• Strong problem solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with large-scale system administration, with 2+ years in HPC administration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain FSL services in a heterogeneous HPC environment.
• Perform HPC administration, high-end Linux workstation administration, and high-speed networking tasks.
• Manage high-speed parallel filesystems and related storage setups.
• Work with container technologies to optimize HPC workflows.
• Investigate system problems and monitor system health to support NASA missions.
