Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a mid-career Systems Engineer for HPC & GPU infrastructure in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing GPU clusters for IC customers, with a strong emphasis on Linux OS, HPC hardware, and orchestration tools.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance willingness for polygraph, plus hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, GPU virtualization, and performance tuning. On-site work in Bethesda, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Expertise in Linux OS integration.
• Strong hardware architecture knowledge for Linux systems.
• Knowledge of parallel computing, graphics algorithms, and real-time rendering in Linux.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Terraform.
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certs (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) or higher.

Responsibilities

• HPC and GPU environment engineering for on-prem and cloud hardware.
• Analyze and optimize HPC/GPU cluster performance across Linux apps.
• Install and configure Slurm, PBS, Kubernetes, and related tooling.
• Develop power efficiency strategies for GPU deployments.
• Design and execute GPU performance tests, stress tests, and benchmarks.
• Maintain architectural and Linux-specific documentation.
• Stay updated on GPU industry trends and Linux-based innovations.
