Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a GPU Systems Engineer in Bethesda, MD to design, deploy, and optimize GPU clusters within secure, government-grade environments. You will collaborate with AI/ML teams, tune Linux-based infrastructure, and drive performance while meeting DoD security standards.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, Linux proficiency, and experience with NVIDIA GPUs and enterprise drivers. Expect on-site work, first shift, and opportunities for advanced tooling and automation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience; exceptions for seniority accepted.
• Experience managing NVIDIA GPU data center platforms (DGX, HGX, H200, H100, L4s).
• Strong Linux expertise across major distros (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle, Rocky).
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certification at minimum; Level III acceptable.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain GPU clusters.
• Collaborate to optimize architectures for performance and power efficiency.
• Integrate GPUs with Linux-based systems with AI/ML engineers.
• Optimize GPU drivers for reliability and performance.
• Analyze GPU performance and improve efficiency across stack.
• Develop debugging tools, profiling utilities for Linux environments.
• Leverage Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, and Salt for tooling.
• Maintain technical documentation and Linux best practices.
• Support ATO activities and ensure compliance with federal security standards.
