Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions in Bethesda, MD is seeking a mid‑career Systems Engineer focused on HPC and GPU infrastructure to design, deploy, and optimize GPU clusters for IC customers. The role requires deep OS, hardware, and Kubernetes expertise, plus TS/SCI clearance readiness.

You will install/maintain on‑prem and cloud GPU/HPC environments, implement job scheduling with Slurm, PBS, and Kubernetes, and lead performance tuning, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• HPC and GPU environment engineering: install and maintain GPU/HPC hardware on‑prem and in the cloud, optimizing performance.
• Performance optimization: analyze cluster performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency across Linux environments.
• HPC/GPU tooling: install and configure Slurm, PBS, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes for workload management.
• Power efficiency: develop strategies to reduce GPU power consumption in Linux environments.
• Testing and validation: design and execute GPU performance tests including benchmarking and debugging.
• Documentation: maintain comprehensive technical docs including architectural specs and Linux best practices.
• Industry insight: stay updated on GPU trends and contribute Linux-focused GPU design insights.
