Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities

• Manage data storage locations.
• Perform capacity planning, performance management, metrics reporting, storage quotas, policy enforcement, hardware management, and tuning.
• Interface with HPC users to identify potential performance improvements.
• Remotely assist counterparts at alternate sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and at least three years of relevant experience.
• Current TS/SCI Clearance.
• Knowledge of monitoring and administering parallel filesystems such as Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS, etc.
• Experience deploying and administering data storage systems (SAN, NAS, tape archives).
• Experience building, configuring, and managing Linux-based storage systems.
• Scripting experience in Bash, Perl, Python, or similar.
• Experience managing SAN infrastructure.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of security practices for hardware and software.
• Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT II/III, Red Hat RHCSA.

Pay Transparency

The salary range is USD $77,600 - $129,600 per year, with actual compensation based on experience and other factors. Benefits include healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance, and training.
