Lightning AI is hiring a Data Center Technician for our Fort Worth, TX HPC data center. You will monitor and support day-to-day hardware, power, and network operations in a high-end environment.

The role is full-time and on-site in Fort Worth, with no sponsorship. You’ll work with the HW, network, and SRE teams to ensure reliable operations and quick resolution of issues in a 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data centers and technically proficient about critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers, such as power distribution, air flow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management
• Strong Linux administration experience
• Experience setting up networking appliances (Ethernet and InfiniBand)
• Attention to detail in debugging work and documenting fixes
• Resourceful problem-solver who can derive solutions under constraints
• Able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support
• Must prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues
• Strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with network engineers, SREs, and operations teams

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center hardware: configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting support
• Diagnose and resolve system/compute/network issues to restore functionality
• Rack, label, cable, and configure new server, storage and network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues
• Become SME on physical data center aspects from power deployment to cabling infrastructure
• Proactively monitor onsite hardware to preempt failures
• Collaborate with HW Support to resolve data center infra tickets
• Coordinate with RMA team for faulty parts and replacements
• Create installation standards and documentation for placement and cabling
