Lightning AI is hiring a Data Center Technician for our Puyallup, WA HPC Data Center. You will monitor and support hardware, power, and network operations in a full-time, on-site role with no sponsorship available.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux administration and experience with data center infrastructure, including cabling and DCIM software. Join a team focused on reliability and scalable compute.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center experience and familiarity with critical infra systems (power, cooling, environmental monitoring)
• Strong Linux administration experience
• Experience setting up networking appliances (Ethernet, InfiniBand)
• Attention to detail: precise cabling, patching, and documenting fixes
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center hardware through configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve system/compute/network issues to restore functionality
• Rack, label, cable, and configure new server, storage, and network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues
• Develop expertise on physical data center aspects from power deployment to cabling infrastructure
• Proactively monitor onsite hardware to prevent failures
• Collaborate with HW Support to resolve infrastructure tickets
• Coordinate with RMA team for faulty parts and replacements
• Create installation standards and documentation for placement, labeling, and cabling
