Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an experienced HPC Benchmarking Engineer to drive scientific performance benchmarks for HPC workloads on HPE systems. You will generate insights to shape proposals and product decisions, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Development to deliver reliable benchmark results.

Required are a technical bachelor’s degree and 6–10 years of HPC bench‑marking experience, with strong skills in MPI, C/C++, Fortran, Python, Linux, and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in HPC benchmarking and performance optimization.
• Strong ability to evaluate, tune, and optimize benchmark performance on Linux-based HPC systems.
• Experience communicating complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benchmarking of scientific ISV and open-source apps for HPC use.
• Optimize HPC benchmarks on HPE systems to support proposals and opportunities.
• Develop understanding of HPC components and performance estimation methodologies.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks across compute, memory, MPI, and I/O subsystems.
• Suggest optimization approaches to improve application performance on HPE platforms.
• Stay current on HPC products and performance techniques to ensure high‑quality results.
• Collaborate with colleagues across HPE and with external peers to achieve optimal benchmark performance.
