Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Technical Services Director in Austin to oversee global data center and lab infrastructure, including HPC platforms and engineering labs. You will lead diverse, geographically distributed teams, drive strategy, and ensure secure, cost-effective operations that support AI silicon development and validation workloads.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in global technical infrastructure and labs.
• Proven track record building and operating HPC and data-center environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs and multi-site strategies.
• Strong procurement, budgeting, and vendor-management capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop global systems administration, lab operations, and technical services teams.
• Own reliability, safety, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement of HPC and infra facilities.
• Define SLAs, standards, monitoring, and configuration-management practices.
• Translate requirements into roadmaps, capacity plans, and investment programs.
• Forecast compute, storage, networking, and power needs across portfolios.
• Manage multi-site procurement, deployments, and vendor performance.
• Develop budgets, lifecycle plans, and investment proposals for infra ops.
• Engage with internal/external customers on capabilities and compliance.
• Provide executive reporting on health, capacity, risks, and budgets.
