Job summary

Graphcore in Austin, TX, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the architecture and delivery of safe, resilient electrical infrastructure for high-density AI computing environments. You will guide projects from concept through construction, commissioning and lifecycle improvement, coordinating with internal teams, utilities and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering mission-critical electrical infrastructure in hyperscale data centers.
• Lead a significant technical area and influence outcomes across disciplines.
• Knowledge of medium- and low-voltage AC and high-power DC distribution.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IEEE, IEC, UL, CSA standards.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and construction teams.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for electrical engineering across data center projects.
• Lead electrical architecture development through design, construction, commissioning and lifecycle.
• Define electrical protection and safety approaches for AC/DC systems.
• Develop resilient power solutions for dynamic AI loads and interconnection.
• Lead due diligence, design reviews, testing, inspections and commissioning.
• Collaborate with IT, silicon, mechanical, controls and operations teams.
