The Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy and The Parity Center seek a Temporary Research Assistant to support multiple research projects. The Research Assistant will be responsible for helping to implement day-to-day activities for health policy observational data/retrospective analysis research projects and randomized controlled trials. This role may be asked to work with a variety of data sources including private insurer data, Medicare data, and or VA data. The Research Assistant will support the research team by assisting with deliverables to fulfill project deadlines; this will include assisting with the development of deliverables (proposals, policy briefs, manuscripts, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) to be shared externally. This person may assist the project management team and the data teams to produce data reports, tables, literature reviews and presentation materials to be shared externally. The Research Assistant will coordinate with the Project Manager to organize team meetings, including internal meetings and external meetings at project sites. The Research Assistant may be asked to assist with literature reviews and preparation of manuscripts and manuscript tables and figures for submission to peer-reviewed journals. This person may be asked to travel to external sites to participate in study design meetings, team retreats, or to check in on study progress and share analyses. This position may support multiple research projects, in the near future, as they are funded.
The Research Assistant should have a demonstrated record of research and organizational skills. The Research Assistant will meet regularly with the project management team to review project updates and timelines and should have the ability to function with moderate guidance to carry out responsibilities.
This is a temporary, part-time (34 hours/week max/variable), 12-month position with the possibility to extend for an additional 24-months, contingent on funding.
The hourly rate for this position is $8.00 to $15.00 This targeted pay range is only applicable to this job posting. All hourly rate offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
